A children’s museum day in Amsterdam, planned, with opening hours we checked on 6 November 2026. Our pool has no Christmas market in Amsterdam yet, so this day ends at the museum.
We live in Vienna with two kids. This plan is built from the museums’ own pages, not from a dozen visits.
NEMO and the Scheepvaartmuseum are a short walk apart. That is about as far as small legs go after lunch.

Book a ticket with a start time online. Giant bubbles, chain reaction, laboratory for ages 8+ (from 11:00). Humania (floor 4) is for ages 12+.

- NEMO is closed on Mondays from October to March except holiday Mondays (21 and 28 Dec 2026, 4 Jan 2027). Scheepvaartmuseum closed 25 Dec and 1 Jan; the ship and jetty close from wind force 7.
