RAW Keeper
Cleans up RAW+JPEG pairs and leaves every favorite alone.
For iPhone, iPad, Mac
Download on the App StoreIf you shoot RAW+JPEG with a camera, every picture is in Apple Photos twice; RAW Keeper removes the extra RAW – or the JPEG, your choice.
Favorites stay untouched, every change is re-checked right before, and originals stay in “Recently Deleted” for 30 days.
RAW Keeper also shrinks large videos and slims down Live Photos, only when you ask and entirely on your device.

FAQ
The scan finds 0 candidates – is the app broken?
No. The photo feature needs RAW+JPEG pairs from a camera or ProRAW photos from the iPhone. If there are none, there is nothing to remove. The video feature finds any non-favorite video of 20 MB or more that isn’t HEVC yet.
Are favorites really never touched?
Never. Favorites, edited photos, slow-mo and time-lapse are skipped and re-checked right before any change. If you have just marked favorites on another device, wait until iCloud has synced them.
Keep the picture or keep the RAW?
“Keep the picture, remove the RAW” saves the most (typically 20–30 MB per photo); the picture is re-saved once at 90% quality. “Keep the RAW, remove the picture” is lossless and saves a bit less. Favorites always keep both.
What happens to the originals?
They go to “Recently Deleted” and can be restored for 30 days. iCloud storage is freed only afterward.
What about a shared iCloud library?
Please test with a single item first: the replacement lands in your personal library, in the album “RAW Keeper – Converted” (videos: “– Compressed”). From there it can be moved back to the Shared Library.
